Challenging gardens

Challenging gardens

We do love a challenge! Whether a steep sloping garden, a long narrow garden, a roof terrace or a small city courtyard, we come into our own.

This is where our combination of design and build is essential since most challenges require a practical ‘engineering-eye’ as well as a creative ‘design-eye’ and the two must work closely together. In fact we often find that a difficult situation can open the door to exciting new design possibilities.

I just wanted to say thank you for my lovely garden! I’ve been watching it progress over the last couple of weeks, and taking photos each day to track the transformation.  Coming home to find the plants in situ was a wonderful experience – I love the way it looks, and it’s such a joyful space.  I really like the planting and your choice of herbs, grasses, shrubs, plants.  I especially like the use of the paddle stones around the little standard plant in the middle.  I can’t wait to show the garden off to friends and family! Russell and his team did a great job in all weather, and please pass on my thanks.  All I need now is some warm sunny weather to make the most of the garden and watch it grow.
