A ‘Play-Pergola’ in a London family garden with all the play items a growing family could wish – swings, monkey rings, fireman’s pole, rope-ladder, scramble net and even a trap door with hidden trampoline (or a sand-pit!) – all easily detachable and hidden out of site behind the slatted screen when play time is over!
The play items can be changed as the children grow and the ‘Play-Pergola’ returned to a ‘pergola’ when they eventually fledge the nest – flexible, versatile and easy on the eye – no need to look like a playground!

I just wanted to say thank you for my lovely garden! I’ve been watching it progress over the last couple of weeks, and taking photos each day to track the transformation. Coming home to find the plants in situ was a wonderful experience – I love the way it looks, and it’s such a joyful space. I really like the planting and your choice of herbs, grasses, shrubs, plants. I especially like the use of the paddle stones around the little standard plant in the middle. I can’t wait to show the garden off to friends and family! Russell and his team did a great job in all weather, and please pass on my thanks. All I need now is some warm sunny weather to make the most of the garden and watch it grow.
